Text

(A)(1) The legislative authority of a municipal corporation or township, by ordinance or resolution, may request the municipal court or county court having territorial jurisdiction over the municipal corporation or township to authorize the municipal corporation or township to establish a parking violations bureau to handle all parking infractions occurring within the territory of the municipal corporation or the unincorporated area of the township, including parking infractions that are violations of ordinances, resolutions, or regulations of other local authorities and that occur within the territory of the municipal corporation or the unincorporated area of the township.
