(A)The purpose of sections3902.01to3902.08of the Revised Code is to establish minimum standards for language used in policies and certificates of life insurance and annuities, credit life insurance and credit disability insurance, and sickness and accident insurance, and subscriber policies or certificates of health insuring corporations, delivered or issued for delivery in this state, to facilitate ease of reading by insureds and subscribers.
(B)Sections3902.01to3902.08of the Revised Code are not intended to increase the risk assumed by insurance companies or other entities subject to sections3902.01to3902.08of the Revised Code or to supersede their obligation to comply with the substance of other applicable insurance laws.
