There is hereby created the chiropractic loan repayment program, which shall be administered by the department of health in cooperation with the chiropractic loan repayment advisory board. The program shall provide loan repayment on behalf of individuals who agree to provide chiropractic services in areas designated as chiropractic health resource shortage areas by the director of health pursuant to section3702.982of the Revised Code.
Under the program, the department of health, by means of a contract entered into under section3702.986of the Revised Code, may agree to repay all or part of the principal and interest of a government or other educational loan taken by an individual for the following expenses incurred while the individual was enrolled in an accredited chiropractic school or c
