Text
Except as provided in section3375.13of the Revised Code, the erection and equipment and the custody, control, and administration of free public libraries established by municipal corporations shall be vested in a board of library trustees composed of seven members. The trustees shall be appointed by the legislative authority of the municipal corporation, to serve without compensation, for a term of four years, but the initial term of the seventh trustee may be for the number of years set by the legislative authority, not to exceed four years. Vacancies shall be filled by like appointment for the unexpired term. The board shall organize in accordance with section3375.32of the Revised Code.
