(A)There is hereby created a state university to be known as "The University of Akron." The government of the university of Akron is vested in a board of eleven trustees who shall be appointed by the governor, with the advice and consent of the senate. Two of the trustees shall be students at the university of Akron, and their selection and terms shall be in accordance with division (B) of this section. For trustees appointed prior to July 1, 2025, except for the terms of student members, terms of office shall be for nine years, commencing on the second day of July and ending on the first day of July. For trustees appointed on or after July 1, 2025, except for the terms of student members, terms of office shall be for six years. Each trustee shall hold office from the date of appointment
