Text

As used in this chapter:

(A)"Adult" means an individual who is eighteen years of age or older.
(B)"Guardian" has the same meaning as in section2111.01of the Revised Code.
(C)"Guardian of the person" means a person appointed by the court to make decisions regarding the support, care, education, health, and welfare of a ward. "Guardian of the person" does not include a guardian ad litem.
(D)"Guardian of the estate" means a person appointed by the court to administer the estate of a ward.
(E)"Ward" means any adult who has been adjudicated incompetent and for whom a guardian is acting or for whom the probate court is acting pursuant to section2111.50of the Revised Code.
(F)"Emergency" means a circumstance that makes it reasonably certain that immediate action is required
