When two or more charitable, benevolent, or educational organizations formed or incorporated in this state desire to be consolidated as a single corporation, or when two or more charitable, benevolent, or educational organizations one or more of which is or may be incorporated in this state desire to be consolidated as a single corporation, the trustees, directors, or other known legal representatives or governing body of such organizations may enter into an agreement for such consolidation and prescribe its terms, a corporate name for such united corporation which may be either the name of one of the component organizations or a new name, the time and place for the first meeting of the new corporation, and the number of members of each component organization to be chosen as directors, tru

Such directors, trustees, or other officers of the new corporation shall succeed to the rights and obligations of those officers who in the component organizations held in trust the real and personal estate thereof, and may hold such other estates as they deem necessary to complete the new corporation.
