Text

At all stripping mines where alternating current is used to operate shovels or to convert alternating current to direct current, and where the machines used for this purpose are installed on the shovel or building attached thereto, or where armored cables are used to conduct the current from the main transmission line to the shovel, all machines and armored cables so installed or used shall be grounded in a manner approved by the chief of the division of mineral resources management. No owner, lessee, agent, or operator of a mine shall violate this section.
