The worker performing the duties of fire boss shall, in an approved manner, use a flame safety lamp when making examinations under this chapter and Chapters 1561., 1565., and 1567. and applicable provisions of Chapter 1509. of the Revised Code. As evidence of such examinations the fire boss shall mark with chalk, upon the face of the coal or in some other conspicuous place, the fire boss's initials and the date of the month that the examination is made, and shall fully comply with all the law relating to gas and the fire boss's duties as to making such examinations. After making such an examination and report, prior to employees entering the mine for the oncoming shift, the fire boss who made the examination or another fire boss shall return to the working places with the emplo
