§ 6. Volunteer firefighters' benefits; general. If a volunteer\nfirefighter dies from the effects of injury in line of duty, or if such\na firefighter shall be injured in line of duty, benefits shall be paid\nand provided pursuant to this chapter, except that there shall be no\nliability for such benefits when the injury has been solely occasioned\nby intoxication of the volunteer firefighter while acting in line of\nduty or by the wilful intention of the volunteer firefighter to bring\nabout the injury or death of himself or herself or another.\n
