§ 12-1200 Contracts for lighting. The board of light commissioners may\ncontract, for a period not to exceed ten years, in the name of the\nvillage, with an individual or corporation, for lighting the streets,\npublic grounds and public buildings of the village by gas, electricity\nor other substance.\n
