§ 2256. Suspension and revocation of registrations; offenses;\npenalties.

1.The commissioner may suspend any registration pursuant to\nthis article for violation of this article or a violation of the\nnavigation law upon the recommendation of the commissioner of parks,\nrecreation and historic preservation by the holder thereof. Such\nsuspension or revocation shall be ordered only after a hearing, unless\nwaived. However, the commissioner may temporarily suspend a registration\npending a hearing.\n 2. Any person who violates any provisions of this article or\nregulation adopted pursuant thereto shall be guilty of a violation\npunishable as provided in the penal law except the maximum fine may not\nexceed one hundred dollars.\n
