§ 2255 — Temporary registration

§ 2255. Temporary registration. A temporary registration may be issued\nby a dealer registered in accordance with the provisions of this article\nto the purchaser of a vessel sold by the dealer provided the dealer\nmakes application on behalf of the owner for a registration under\nsection twenty-two hundred fifty-one of this article no later than five\ncalendar days after the issuance of the temporary registration. Such\ntemporary registration shall be valid, if issued and used in accordance\nwith regulations promulgated by the commissioner, for the operation of\nthe vessel for which it is issued for thirty days after the date of\nissuance.
