§ 148-a. Taxicab. Every motor vehicle, other than a bus, used in the\nbusiness of transporting passengers for compensation, and operated in\nsuch business under a license or permit issued by a local authority.\nHowever, it shall not include vehicles which are rented or leased\nwithout a driver.\n
