§ 2503. Disposition of fines and penalties. All fines and penalties\nimposed and collected by any judge of the court sitting as a court of\nspecial sessions or as a magistrate's court shall be paid over to the\ncounty treasurer and be credited by him to the first judicial district,\nexcept as follows:\n 1. Fines and penalties collected in cases arising out of the violation\nof the ordinances or regulations of any town or village shall be paid at\nleast monthly into the treasury of such town or village.\n 2. Fines and penalties which by any general state law are payable to\nthe state of New York or to any department, commission or agency thereof\nshall be paid as in such general state law provided at least monthly.\n 3.
