§ 2417. Bond of marshal.
1.No marshal shall be permitted to enter\nupon the duties of his office until he shall have given a bond as herein\nprescribed. The bond shall be executed by the marshal with a fidelity or\nsurety company duly authorized by law to act as surety or with two\nsufficient sureties, who shall be residents of the county and each of\nwhom shall be the owner of real estate therein of the value of double\nthe penalty of the bond, which shall be in such sum as the board of\nsupervisors shall prescribe but not less than three thousand dollars.\nThe bond shall provide that the marshal and the surety or sureties shall\njointly and severally answer to the county and any persons that may\ncomplain, for the true and faithful execution by such marshal of the\nduties of his offic
