§ 188. Use of surplus town moneys for purchase of fire apparatus for\nuse in town fire districts. The town board in a town in which a town\nfire district has been established pursuant to the provisions of chapter\ntwo hundred and twenty-six of the laws of nineteen hundred sixteen may\nauthorize the expenditure of surplus moneys of the town for the purchase\nof apparatus for the extinguishment and the prevention of fires in such\ntown fire district.\n
