§ 103. State papers and securities. All papers relating to the duties\nof the comptroller, and all deeds to the state, abstracts of title, and\nstate contracts, unless otherwise specially directed, shall be deposited\nin the office of the comptroller. Upon request of the attorney-general,\nthe comptroller shall transfer to his custody all abstracts of title and\ntitle searches relating to the ownership of real property. All leases,\nbonds, mortgages, certificates of stock and other securities belonging\nto the state also shall be deposited in the office of the comptroller,\nbut the commissioner of taxation and finance, jointly with the\ncomptroller, shall have custody thereof.\n
