§ 86 — Town public welfare funds

§ 86. Town public welfare funds.

1.The taxes levied for public\nassistance and care in a town shall be paid to the town supervisor, who,\nwithout prior audit, shall disburse them on written order of the town\npublic welfare officer for the payment of bills and claims submitted in\naccordance with the provisions of law relating to such town. All such\nbills and claims shall be filed annually with the town clerk.\n 2. The town supervisor shall, without prior audit, issue individual\nchecks to persons as authorized by the town welfare officer on forms as\neither prescribed or approved by the state department of social welfare,\nor such supervisor shall pay over to the town welfare officer for use as\na revolving fund such amount as the town board authorizes.
