§ 386. Visitation; inspection and supervision.

1.The board or the\ndepartment is authorized to visit, in its discretion, any minor under\nthe age of twenty-one years committed, placed out or boarded out and not\nlegally adopted or in the custody of a legal guardian.\n 2. The board or the department is authorized to visit, in its\ndiscretion, any home or place where a child or children are received,\nboarded or kept under a license or certificate whether or not such\nchildren are maintained as public charges. Every licensed home shall, if\npracticable, be visited by the department at least four times in each\nyear.\n
