§ 193. Authorization to municipalities to adopt necessary local laws,\nordinances or resolutions. Any municipality is hereby authorized and\nempowered to adopt and amend a local law, ordinance or resolution\nproviding for supplemental retirement allowance payments both to local\nretired employees thereof and local retired teachers of a school\ndistrict located therein. Any such local law, ordinance or resolution\nshall provide an equitable method of computing the amount of such\npayments. The supplemental retirement allowances paid to local retired\nemployees shall not exceed the supplemental retirement allowances paid\nto state retired employees pursuant to this article.
