§ 119. Separability clause. If any clause, sentence, paragraph,\nsection or part of this article, as originally added by chapter eight\nhundred forty-one of the laws of nineteen hundred forty-seven, or as\namended or supplemented heretofore or hereafter, shall be adjudged by\nany court of competent jurisdiction, to be invalid or unconstitutional,\nsuch judgment shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remainder\nthereof, but shall be confined in its operation to the clause, sentence,\nparagraph, section or part thereof directly involved in the controversy\nin which such judgment shall have been rendered.\n
