§ 950. Satisfaction of undertaking of collecting officer. Upon the\nsettlement of the account of taxes of a collecting officer in any city\nor town, the county treasurer shall, if requested, and if the collecting\nofficer has fully paid over or duly accounted for all the taxes which he\nwas by law to collect, give to such collecting officer or any of his\nsureties a written certificate of such settlement, duly acknowledged.\nUpon the filing thereof in the office of the clerk where the undertaking\nis recorded, the clerk shall enter satisfaction of such undertaking. The\nfiling of the satisfaction shall discharge the lien of the undertaking\nupon the real property of the collecting officer and his sureties, but\nin no way shall impair the liability of the collecting officer and his\nsuret
