§ 1902 — Certification of assessing units

§ 1902. Certification of assessing units.

1.Whenever an assessing\nunit other than a special assessing unit or an approved assessing unit\nwhich has or has had in effect a local law adopted pursuant to\nsubdivision one of section nineteen hundred three of this article\nundertakes a revaluation or an update, the governing body of such\nassessing unit may apply to the commissioner for certification or\nrecertification as an "approved assessing unit". The commissioner shall\nmonitor the progress of such revaluation or update for the purpose of\ndetermining whether or not such assessing unit will be eligible for\ncertification or recertification as an approved assessing unit.\n 2.
