  § 1510. Solid waste fees. Notwithstanding the provisions of any\ngeneral or special law to the contrary, the legislative body of a county\nmay by resolution direct the collecting officers of the towns in such\ncounty to collect solid waste fees at the same time and in the same\nmanner as county and town taxes are collected. Such fees shall be paid\nby such collecting officers to the appropriate officer of the county in\nthe same manner and at the same time as county taxes.\n
