§ 293. Provisions governing meetings for incorporation and resolutions\nto be adopted thereat.
1.At the meeting for incorporation, held in\npursuance of such notice, qualified voters shall be those qualified\nunder the by-laws of such unincorporated church, congregation, parish,\nsociety or committee, or in the absence of such by-laws, the persons\nqualified to vote in parish meetings in accordance with the rules and\nregulations or general usages of that jurisdiction of the Orthodox Greek\nCatholic (Eastern Orthodox) Church to which the proposed corporation is\nto adhere.\n 2. In order to incorporate under this\narticle the meeting shall adopt the following resolution by a majority\nof its qualified voters, present and voting, to wit:\n WHEREAS, this (congregation, parish, church, society or committee) was\nfounded and established, and thereby a permanent trust was created, for\nthe purpose and intent of adhering to, maintaining and promoting\nreligious worship and teaching according to the communion, doctrine,\ndiscipline, rite, canon law, traditions and usages of the Orthodox Greek\nCatholic (Eastern Orthodox) Church; and\n WHEREAS, such purpose and intent and the trust thereby created can be\nfully effected and safeguarded only in complete canonical unity with\nOrthodox jurisdictions and in obedience to Orthodox Greek Catholic\nbishops acknowledged and certified by the Federated Orthodox Greek\nCatholic Primary Jurisdictions in America; and\n WHEREAS, the signers hereof are the trustees, duly elected as such at\na meeting duly held on the ............. day of ........ , nineteen\nhundred ..... , in accordance with article fifteen of the religious\ncorporations law; and\n WHEREAS, by a majority vote the said meeting has determined to\nincorporate under said article as a (parish, society or committee) of\nthe Orthodox Greek Catholic (Eastern Orthodox) Church under the name of\n.............................. (here give the corporate name by which\nsuch church, society or committee is to be known); and\n WHEREAS, permission and sanction for such incorporation has been given\nand certified in accordance with the provisions of said article by\n.............................. (here name the appropriate hierarch,\nbishop or administrator) to whose jurisdiction and authority this\ncorporation shall adhere,\n Therefore it is hereby\n RESOLVED, that this (congregation, parish, church, society or\ncommittee) shall become and remain an incorporated (parish, society or\ncommittee) of the aforesaid jurisdiction in full unity of communion,\nfaith and discipline with the Federated Orthodox Greek Catholic Primary\nJurisdictions in America.\n
