§ 244 — Revocation of license or franchise

§ 244. Revocation of license or franchise. The commission may revoke a\nlicense issued by it under this chapter or a franchise granted pursuant\nto section two hundred six of this article if the corporation to which\nsuch license or franchise shall have been issued, or its officers or\ndirectors, shall not conduct racing at its track, including pari-mutuel\nbetting on races thereat, in accordance with the terms and conditions of\nsuch license or franchise, with the rules of the commission and with the\nprovisions of this chapter; or if such corporation or its officers or\ndirectors shall knowingly permit on its grounds or within the enclosure\nof its racetrack, lotteries, pool selling or bookmaking, or any other\nkind of gambling, in violation of this chapter or of the penal law.\n
