§ 89-D — Inspection of meters
§ 89-d. Inspection of meters.
1.The commission shall appoint\ninspectors of water meters whose duty it shall be, when required by the\ncommission, to inspect, examine, prove and ascertain the accuracy of any\nand all water meters used or intended to be used for measuring or\nascertaining the quantity of water furnished by any water-works\ncorporation to or for the use of any person or corporation, and to\ninspect, examine and ascertain the accuracy of all apparatus for testing\nand proving the accuracy of water meters, and, when found to be or made\nto be correct, the inspector shall stamp or mark all such meters and\napparatus with some suitable device, which device shall be recorded in\nthe office of the secretary of state. No water-works corporation shall\nfurnish, set or put in use
