§ 65-a. Notification to social services officials. The commission\nshall, to the extent not inconsistent with other requirements of law,\nestablish requirements relating to the notification of an appropriate\nsocial services official by a gas corporation, electric corporation or\nmunicipality that payment for utility services furnished a person\nreceiving public assistance, supplemental security income benefits or\nadditional state payments pursuant to the social services law has not\nbeen made and such person is known by the corporation or municipality to\nbe a recipient of such assistance, benefits or payments. The commission\nshall consult with the office of temporary and disability assistance in\nfulfilling the objectives of this section.\n
