§ 72-a. Penalty of officer for failure to execute mandate and make\nreturn. An officer who fails to execute a mandate according to its\ncommand and make a return thereon of his proceedings is liable to the\nparty aggrieved for the damages sustained by him, in addition to any\nother punishment or proceeding authorized by law.\n
