§ 70-b. Certificate on printed copies of laws. 1. A published or\nprinted copy of a law shall be entitled to be read into evidence if it\nis: (a) Contained in a book or pamphlet published under the direction\nof the temporary president of the senate and speaker of the assembly\npursuant to the provisions of section forty-four of the legislative law;\nor\n (b) Certified to be a slip copy of a session law printed under the\ndirection of the temporary president of the senate and speaker of the\nassembly; or\n (c) Contained in a book or pamphlet, or supplement thereto, and\ncertified by the temporary president of the senate and speaker of the\nassembly to be a correct transcript of the text of such law as last\namended; or\n (d) Certified as a correct transcript of the text of such law by the\nsecretary of state.\n 2. A published or printed copy of the administrative code of the city\nof New York shall be entitled to be read into evidence if it is\ncontained in a book or pamphlet, or supplement thereto and certified by\nthe temporary president of the senate and the speaker of the assembly to\nbe a correct transcript of the text of such code as last amended;\nprovided, however, that whenever the provisions of such code contain\namendments, additions or repeals effected by passage of local laws by\nthe city council of the city of New York, certification by the temporary\npresident of the senate and the speaker of the assembly shall not be\nmade unless prior thereto certified or official copies of such local\nlaws have been transmitted by the city clerk of the city of New York to\nthe New York state legislative bill drafting commission at its office in\nAlbany.\n
