§ 68-a. Fees for oath or acknowledgment. Any officer, authorized to\nperform the services specified in this section, and to receive fees\ntherefor, is entitled to the following fees:\n 1. For administering an oath or affirmation, and certifying the same\nwhen required, except where another fee is specially prescribed by\nstatute, two dollars.\n 2. For taking and certifying the acknowledgment or proof of the\nexecution of a written instrument; by one person, two dollars; and by\neach additional person, two dollars; for swearing each witness thereto,\ntwo dollars.\n
