§ 604 — Supervision of public health programs

§ 604. Supervision of public health programs. In order to be eligible\nfor state aid, under this title, each municipality shall employ a\nfull-time local commissioner of health or public health director to\nsupervise the provision of public health services for that municipality,\nsubject to the following exceptions:\n 1. such person may serve as the head of a merged agency or multiple\nagencies, if the approval of the commissioner is obtained; and\n 2. such person may serve as the local commissioner of health or public\nhealth director of additional counties, when authorized pursuant to\nsection three hundred fifty-one of this chapter.\n
