§ 575-a. Source plasma donation centers.

1.Notwithstanding section\nfive hundred seventy-four and subdivision one of section five hundred\nseventy-one of this chapter, a source plasma donation center may collect\nsource plasma through plasmapheresis, and may employ a person to perform\ntotal protein tests using digital refractometers, and to perform\nhematocrit tests, if the source plasma donation center and such person\ncomply with all the requirements of federal law and regulations\ngoverning the collection of source plasma, including, but not limited\nto, laws governing staff supervision, training, and duties, including\nrequirements for performing total protein tests using digital\nrefractometers in a source plasma donation center.\n 2.
