§ 4306-b. Withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment. This section\napplies in cases where a prospective donor who has made an anatomical\ngift or whose donation status has not been ascertained is in a hospital.\nThe hospital shall not withdraw any measures that are necessary to\nmaintain the medical suitability of the part until the procurement\norganization has had the opportunity to advise the applicable persons as\nset forth in section forty-three hundred one of this article of the\noption to make an anatomical gift, has documented or acted upon that\ndecision, or has ascertained that the individual expressed a contrary\nintent. The procurement organization shall act expeditiously with\nrespect to its responsibilities under this section.\n
