§ 327. Local health officer; nurses; appointment. Every health\nofficer or other official exercising similar duties, by whatever\nofficial designation he may be known, with the approval and consent of\nthe local board of health of his district, shall have power to employ\nsuch number of public health nurses, qualified as provided by the\nsanitary code, as in his judgment may be necessary within the limits of\nthe appropriation made therefor by the municipality.\n
