§ 2312. Expedited partner therapy for chlamydia trachomatis infection\nand other sexually transmitted infections.

1.Notwithstanding any other\nprovision of law and consistent with section two thousand three hundred\nfive of this title, a health care practitioner (who is authorized under\ntitle eight of the education law to diagnose and prescribe drugs for\nsexually transmitted chlamydia trachomatis infection and other sexually\ntransmitted infections, acting within his or her lawful scope of\npractice) who diagnoses a sexually transmitted chlamydia trachomatis\ninfection or other sexually transmitted infection in an individual\npatient may prescribe, dispense, furnish, or otherwise provide\nprescription antibiotic drugs for the sexually transmitted infections\nfor which the Centers for
