§ 526. Definitions. As used or referred to in this title, unless a\ndifferent meaning clearly appears from the context,\n 1. The term "authority" shall mean the New York State Bridge Authority\ncreated by section five hundred twenty-seven of this chapter;\n 2. The term "commissioner" shall mean the commissioner of\ntransportation in the department of transportation;\n 3. The term "department" shall mean the state department of\ntransportation;\n 4. The term "board" shall mean the members of the authority;\n 5. The term "Franklin Delano Roosevelt Mid-Hudson bridge" shall be\ndeemed to mean the bridge constructed pursuant to chapter nine hundred\nof the laws of nineteen hundred twenty-three, as amended;\n 6. The term "Hamilton Fish Newburgh-Beacon bridge" shall be deemed\nto mean both spans of the bridge constructed across the Hudson river\nbetween a location in the vicinity of the city of Newburgh and a\nlocation in the vicinity of the city of Beacon;\n 7-b. The term "walkway over the Hudson bridge" shall be deemed to mean\nthe Poughkeepsie-Highland railroad bridge which was constructed across\nthe Hudson river north of the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Mid-Hudson\nbridge.\n 8. The term "Kingston-Rhinecliff bridge" shall be deemed to mean the\nbridge constructed across the Hudson river within five miles of the city\nof Kingston;\n 9. The term "bridges" shall be deemed to mean collectively Mid-Hudson\nbridge, Rip Van Winkle bridge, Bear Mountain bridge, Kingston-Rhinecliff\nbridge, both spans of the Hamilton Fish Newburgh-Beacon bridge, walkway\nover the Hudson bridge, and incidental roads, approaches, structures and\nfacilities;\n 10. The terms "bonds" and "notes" shall mean bonds and notes,\nrespectively, issued by the authority pursuant to this title;\n 11. The term "comptroller" shall mean the state comptroller.\n
