§ 2799-www. Limited liability. Neither members, officers or employees\nof the authority, nor any municipality, or an officer or employee\nthereof acting on behalf of the authority, while acting within the scope\nof their authority, shall be subject to any personal liability resulting\nfrom the construction, maintenance or operation of any of the properties\nof the authority or from carrying out any of the powers expressly given\nin this title unless the conduct is finally determined by a court of\ncompetent jurisdiction to constitute intentional wrong doing or\nrecklessness provided, however, that this section shall not be held to\napply to any independent contractor.\n
