  § 1726. Definitions. As used or referred to in this title, unless a\ndifferent meaning clearly appears from the context:\n  1. "Authority" shall mean the New York city school construction\nauthority.\n  2. "Board" shall mean the board of trustees of the New York city\nschool construction authority.\n  3. "Council" shall mean the council of the city of New York.\n  4. "Chancellor" shall mean the chancellor of the city school district\nof the city of New York.\n  5. "City" shall mean the city of New York.\n  6. "City board" shall mean the board of education of the city school\ndistrict of the city of New York.\n  7. "Comptroller" shall mean the comptroller of the city of New York.\n  8. "Director of management and budget" shall mean the director of\nmanagement and budget of the city of New
