§ 7.05 Commission members; chairmen.
1.Subject to the provisions of\nsubdivision two, each of the regional park, recreation and historic\npreservation commissions shall consist of a board of seven members,\nappointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate, for\nterms of seven years. Members shall be citizens and residents of the\nstate, and at least five members of each commission shall reside in the\npark region which the commission serves. The chairman of each commission\nshall be designated by the governor from among the members, and shall\nhold such office at the pleasure of the governor. Members of such\ncommissions shall not receive any compensation, but shall be entitled to\ntheir actual and necessary expenses in performing the duties of their\noffice.\n 2. No

§ 7.05 Commission members; chairmen. 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of subdivision one, the additional\nprovisions below shall govern the appointment of members of the\nfollowing commissions:\n (a) Niagara Frontier state park, recreation and historic preservation\ncommission. At least two members shall reside in Niagara county and at\nleast three shall reside in Erie county.\n (b) Genesee state park, recreation and historic preservation\ncommission. At least two members shall reside in each of Monroe and\nWyoming counties, and at least one shall reside in each of the other\ncounties in the third park region.\n (c) Taconic state park, recreation and historic preservation\ncommission. At least two members shall reside in Westchester county;\nthe seventh member shall be the person holding the office of chairman of\nthe Westchester county parks, recreation and conservation board, or the\nperson holding a similar position in any agency or board which is a\nsuccessor thereto or to the park functions thereof.\n (d) Long Island state park, recreation and historic preservation\ncommission. The commission shall consist of nine members. At least two\nmembers shall reside in Nassau county and two in Suffolk county; all\nmembers shall reside within the counties of Nassau and Suffolk.\n (e) Thousand Islands state park, recreation and historic preservation\ncommission. All members shall reside in the tenth park region.\n (f) Saratoga-Capital district state park, recreation and historic\npreservation commission. The commission shall consist of nine members,\nat least six of whom shall reside in the eleventh region.\n (g) State park, recreation and historic preservation commission for\nthe city of New York. The commission shall consist of nine members. All\nmembers shall reside in the city of New York; provided however, that one\nmember shall be the person holding the office of commissioner of parks\nand recreation of the city of New York, or the person holding a similar\nposition in any agency or board which is a successor thereto or to the\npark functions thereof.\n
