§ 115. Power to solicit contributions for charitable purposes.\n (a) No corporation required to obtain approval or provide notice of\nformation pursuant to section 404 (Approvals, notices and consents) of\nthis chapter may solicit contributions for any purpose requiring such\napproval or notice unless and until such corporation (1) obtains and\nsubmits any approval or notice required thereunder, and (2) is in\ncompliance with the registration and reporting requirements of article\nseven-A of the executive law and section 8-1.4 of the estates, powers\nand trusts law.\n (b) The attorney general may maintain an action or proceeding pursuant\nto the provisions of subparagraph one of paragraph (a) of section one\nhundred twelve of this article against any corporation that solicits\ncontributi
