§ 58. Number of passengers. It shall not be lawful to take on board of\nany public vessel a greater number of passengers than the number allowed\nin the certificate of inspection and for every violation of this\nprovision, the master, pilot, joint pilot and engineer or owner shall be\nguilty of a misdemeanor punishable as set forth in section\nseventy-three-b of this article.\n
