§ 221-B — Issue of permits

§ 221-b. Issue of permits. 1. An application for a permit shall be\nmade to the commissioner upon blanks furnished by him, and shall state\nunder oath:\n a. Name of owner or lessee of the property.\n b. A list of the provisions and clothing it is intended to sell.\n c. The maximum number of boarders or lodgers it is intended to\naccommodate.\n 2. With the application there shall be presented to the commissioner\nproof of the applicant's citizenship and moral character, and if a\ncorporation, similar proof concerning its officers.\n 3. The applicant shall pay to the commissioner a permit fee of fifty\ndollars.\n 4. On approval of the application, the commissioner shall issue a\npermit only for the place designated in the application, and shall not\nbe transferable. The commissioner may revoke the permit on notice and\nfor cause shown.\n 5. Every operator of such a store or camp shall keep prominently\nposted in a conspicuous place on the premises a statement printed in the\nEnglish language and in the language understood by the majority of the\npatrons, specifying the rate of charges by the day and week for lodging,\nmeals, clothing and provisions supplied, and a copy thereof shall be\nfiled with the commissioner.\n
