§ 486-a. Conviction for felony of person who is an attorney and\ncounselor at law; notice thereof to be given by clerk to appropriate\nappellate division of the supreme court. Whenever it appears from the\nrecord that a person who has been convicted of any crime which is a\nfelony, is an attorney and counselor at law of this state, it shall be\nthe duty of the clerk of every court in which such conviction is had to\nascertain:\n (a) the place and date of such person's admission to practice as\nattorney and counselor at law; and\n (b) his last office and residence addresses; and, within five days\nafter the imposition of sentence, to transmit a certified copy of the\njudgment of conviction to the clerk of the appellate division of the\nsupreme court in the judicial department in which s
