§ 3405. Fire insurance contract; losses from nuclear reaction or\nradiation.
(a)Insurers issuing the standard fire insurance policy\npursuant to section three thousand four hundred four of this article are\nauthorized to affix or include in the policy a written statement that\nsuch policy does not cover loss or damage caused by nuclear reaction or\nnuclear radiation or radioactive contamination, all whether directly or\nindirectly resulting from an insured peril under such policy.\n (b) This section shall not prohibit the attachment to any such policy\nof an endorsement specifically assuming coverage for loss or damage\ncaused by nuclear reaction or nuclear radiation or radioactive\ncontamination.\n
