§ 340-a. Designation of state interstate routes. State interstate\nroutes are hereby set forth and generally described as follows:\n Interstate Route 501. Beginning at the New York City-Westchester\ncounty line north of Pelham Bay park, thence generally northeasterly\nthrough or in the vicinity of Mt. Vernon, New Rochelle and Rye, to the\nNew York-Connecticut border in the vicinity of Port Chester, the\nforegoing route being a portion of the New York state thruway.\n Interstate Route 502.
