§ 190. Fences to be removed. Whenever a highway shall have been laid\nout through any inclosed, cultivated or improved lands, in conformity to\nthe provisions of this chapter, the town superintendent shall give to\nthe owner or occupant of the land through which such highway shall have\nbeen laid, sixty days' notice in writing to remove his fences; and if\nsuch owner shall not remove his fences within sixty days, the town\nsuperintendent shall cause them to be removed, and shall direct the\nhighway to be opened and worked.\n
