§ 922-A — Village of Hastings-on-Hudson industrial development agency

* § 922-a. Village of Hastings-on-Hudson industrial development\nagency. (a) For the benefit of the village of Hastings-on-Hudson,\nWestchester county, and the inhabitants thereof, an industrial\ndevelopment agency, to be known as the VILLAGE OF HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON\nINDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY, is hereby established for the\naccomplishment of any or all of the purposes specified in title one of\narticle eighteen-A of this chapter. It shall have, in addition to the\npowers granted herein, all the powers and duties now or hereafter\nconferred by title one of article eighteen-A of this chapter upon\nindustrial development agencies, provided that in the exercise of the\npowers by such agency with respect to the acquisition and use of real\nproperty such agency shall take into consideration local zoning and\nplanning regulations as well as regional and local comprehensive land\nuse plans. It shall be organized in the manner prescribed by and, except\nas provided specifically herein, shall be subject to the provisions of\ntitle one of article eighteen-A of this chapter. The agency, its\nmembers, officers and employees and its operations and activities,\nexcept as provided specifically herein, shall be governed by the\nprovisions of title one of article eighteen-A of this chapter.\n (b) In addition to the powers and duties now or hereinafter conferred\nby title one of article eighteen-A of this chapter, the agency shall\nhave the power (i) to acquire, construct, renovate, own, maintain,\nimprove, equip and lease, with an option to buy, or sell any interest in\none or more warehousing facilities, including, without limitation,\nstorage tanks for oil and other petroleum products, whether presently\nexisting or to be constructed, together with necessary harbor\nfacilities, loading facilities, roadways, equipment and other related\nfacilities necessary or convenient thereto and (ii) to finance the\nacquisition of such facilities through the issuance of its bonds and\nnotes, when, in the judgment of the agency, such facilities will serve\nto promote, develop, encourage and assist in the acquiring,\nconstructing, reconstructing, improving, maintaining, equipping and\nfurnishing industrial, manufacturing, warehousing, commercial, and\nresearch facilities including industrial pollution control facilities\nand thereby advance the job opportunities, health, general prosperity\nand economic welfare of the people of the state of New York and improve\ntheir prosperity and standard of living.\n * NB Agency expires per §§ 856 and 882\n
