1.For the\nbenefit of Suffolk county and the inhabitants thereof, an industrial\ndevelopment agency, to be known as the SUFFOLK COUNTY INDUSTRIAL\nDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, is hereby established for the accomplishment of any\nor all of the purposes specified in title one of article eighteen-A of\nthis chapter. It shall constitute a body corporate and politic, and be\nperpetual in duration. It shall have the powers and duties now or\nhereafter conferred by title one of article eighteen-A of this chapter\nupon industrial development agencies and provided that the exercise of\nthe powers by such agency with respect to the acquisition of real\nproperty whether by purchase, condemnation or otherwise, shall be\nlimited to the corporate limits

It shall be organized in a manner\nprescribed by and be subject to the provisions of title one of article\neighteen-A of this chapter. Its members shall be appointed by the\ngoverning body of the county of Suffolk. The agency, its members,\nofficers and employees and its operations and activities, except as\nprovided specifically herein, shall in all respects be governed by the\nprovisions of title one of article eighteen-A of this chapter.\n 2. In addition to the powers and duties now or hereafter conferred by\ntitle one of article eighteen-A of this chapter, the agency shall have\nthe power (i) to acquire a lease-hold interest in, to reconstruct,\nconstruct additions to, own, maintain, equip and to lease or sell its\ninterest in the sewer system or any part thereof for the collection,\nconveyance, treatment and disposal of sewage of the Southwest sewer\ndistrict of the county of Suffolk, which may include any or all right,\ntitle and interest of the county of Suffolk, or of the Southwest sewer\ndistrict of said county, in and to any land and rights in land, any\nbuildings, structures and improvements now or at any time hereafter\nerected or constructed upon such land or rights in land, any fixtures\nattached thereto, and any personal property of any kind and description,\nwhether the same is a structural or nonstructural component, and any\nalterations, replacements, additions or substitutions for any of the\nforegoing, and (ii) to finance the foregoing, or any part thereof,\nthrough the issuance of its bonds and notes.\n 3. Notwithstanding any inconsistent provision of law, all of the terms\nand conditions with respect to the bonds and notes authorized by\nsubdivision two hereof, including but not limited to the fees to be paid\nfor the preparation or servicing thereof, the financing agreements,\nresolutions or arrangements needed or required to carry out the\nprovisions of such subdivision, and all indemnification agreements shall\nbe subject to the prior approval of the state comptroller.\n * NB Agency expires per §§ 856 and 882\n
